LIFE EXPECTANCY OF VIDEOCASSETTES

 

 

While PET itself can last a couple hundred years when stored under optimal conditions, many binders used in videocassette production can break down in as little as a few years. Therefore, the estimated “practical lifespan” of your average videocassette is

generally accepted to be 10-30 years.
